How Neighbors Saved a Library. Plus, Free Money for Schools On the Ballot
After St. Paul Mayor Kaohly Her announced that closing the Dayton's Bluff Library would be a part of her proposed city budget, neighbors quickly organized a campaign to save it. One such neighbor was Stephanie Harr, and she joins the podcast today to talk about what went into the successful campaign to convince the city to keep the Dayton's Bluff Library open. Rep. Spencer Igo, who represents District 7A in the Iron Range, also joins the conversation to talk about an amendment to the state constitution that will provide more funding for schools without raising any taxes if voters pass it in November.
